How do I search this FAQ?

What is video editing?
Video editing is combining video clips or segments of video into one continuous video. With video editing you can also slow down or speed up the entire video or portions of the video. It also allows you to add music, or a narrative, or cut the sound altoghether. The addition of titles, credits, and still pictures can be edited into the video as well as transitions and special effects and you can cut segments out of the video you don't see fit.

What applications are available for video editing?
There are many applications available for video editing, first check with your video recording device, most recorders, camcorders, and cameras come with their own software from the manufacturer. If your device does not come with it's own software or, the software isn't standing up to your expectations they are a lot of video editing applications available. Are there free video editing software applications?
